Acting titan Daniel Day Lewis has announced that he will retire from acting after his last film 'Phantom Thread,' which reunites him with writer-director Paul Thomas Anderson.
A statement was released saying:
"Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor," wrote Day-Lewis' spokeswoman Leslee Dart. "He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on the subject."
