Peter Jackson and casting director Victoria Burrows have been in LA this week meeting with actors auditioning for the J.R.R. Tolkien adaptation. LA is the first of a few planned cities where the duo are to make trips to, New York and London are future planned destinations for casting to assemble the international cast.
The 'Lord Of The Rings' director is also said to be close to agreeing a deal with Warner Bros to direct the two prequels, but MGM studios financial problems are still preventing the movie from getting a greenlit.
Jackson is reportedly concerned about timing, telling Warner Bros and MGM that he wants to fast-track the blockbusters to get them into cinemas in 2012 and 2013.
