Martin Scorsese has begun production on 'Hugo Cabret' his first film to be shot in 3D. It tells the tale of an orphan boy living a secret life in the walls of a Paris train station. When Hugo encounters a broken machine, an eccentric girl, and the cold, reserved man who runs the toy shop, he is caught up in a magical, mysterious adventure that could put all of his secrets in jeopardy.It stars Ben Kingsley (Shutter Island), Sacha Baron Cohen (Bruno), Asa Butterfield (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas), Chloë Moretz (Kick-Ass), Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes), Ray Winstone (London Boulevard), Christopher Lee ("The Lord of the Rings"), Helen McCrory ("The Special Relationship"), Frances de la Tour (Alice in Wonderland), and Richard Griffiths (The History Boys).
It has a December 2011 release date for the US.
