Suzette, Michel Gondry's aunt, was a school teacher from 1952 to 1986. Michel examines Suzettes years as a school teacher in an isolated part of France, her relationship with her son, Jean—Yves. During the course of filming the documentary, new family stories are unearthed and Gondry uses his camera and cinematography to explore them in a subtle and sensitive way which brings the viewer into the realm of the unvisted with a personal look at the life of Gondry family matriarch.
