Dakota Fanning looks set to star in the sequel to 'The Wizard Of Oz' which is based on Todd McFarlane’s 'Twisted Land Of Oz' action figure series.The actress is speculated to land the lead role in the Josh Olson (History Of Violence) scripted film.
Producer Basil Iwanyk said: "It will be set in the present day and feature Dorothy's granddaughter."
Co-producer Todd McFarlane added: "You've still got Dorothy trapped in an odd place, but she's much closer to the Ripley character from Alien than a helpless singing girl."
