Warner Bros. required the rights to remake the 1981 'Excalibur,' with Bryan Singer producing and developing the picture as a potential directing vehicle, variety confirms.
Deal comes as Singer gets serious about making the New Line-Legendary co-production 'Jack the Giant Killer' his next directing effort, according to sources. This adds to the directors plate which includes a film adaptation of Battle Star Galaltica and a possible return to the X-Men universe, also he still has not ruled out a possible squeal to 'Superman Returns.'
