Tobey Maguire has signed up for the role of Phil Hill in the F1 biopic The Limit. The film is based on Michael Cannell's book Limit, which tells the story of real-life friends and racing rivals Phil Hill and Wolfgang von Trips who were pitted against each other in 1961, when they both drove for the Ferrari team.Tony Peckham, who wrote Clint Eastwood's upcoming feature The Human Factor and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes, has been hired as the scribe. Maguire is also co-producing the project.
