Irish actors and fellow Tudors co-stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Peter O’Toole are set to star in the New Testament film 'Mary, Mother of Christ' to be directed by Alejandro Agresti (The Lake House).Camilla Belle (The Ballad of Jack and Rose) will take the lead role of Mary while O'Toole is to play the character of Symeon and Rhys Meyers will have the dual roles of Lucifer and Gabriel.
Al Pacino is rumoured to be lined up to play King Herod and and Jessica Lange will play Anna the Prophetess. The film is to begin shooting in Morocco in May for planned release for Good Friday 2010.
