The chosen book for this years Dublin: One City, One Book is the literary classic 'Dracula' by Dublin's own Bram Stoker. The aim of the project is to encourage everyone to read and discuss Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' during the month of April, 2009. There will be a number of brilliant events taking place throughout the month which you can check full details of here.
On Sunday 5th April a free outdoor screening of Francis Ford Coppola’s 1992 film Bram Stoker’s Dracula will take place at 8.30pm at Meeting House Square in Temple Bar.
The definite highlight and must attend for us at Flicks News has to be comic book geniuses Leah Moore and John Reppion coming to Dublin to do an illustrated talk on the genesis of 'The Complete Dracula' (which is a new comic book series from Dynamite Entertainment which aims to be the most faithful adaptation of Stoker’s novel to date) and the process of adapting Dracula into comic book form.
The talk will take place on Saturday 18th April 3pm at the Gallery of Writers, Dublin Writers’ Museum, Parnell Square, Dublin 1. If you didn't get tickets to AC/DC at the 02 what better way to spend the day?
