Bafta Film Awards 2009 The Results
Slumdog Millionaire was the big winner of the night taking seven awards including best film and best director for Danny Boyle. Other big winners of the night were Kate Winslet winning best actress for The Reader, Mickey Rourke took home the best actor for The Wrestler dedicating his award to late actor Richard Harris, and the late Heath Ledger took home the best supporting actor for his role as the Joker, producer Charles Roven collected the award. In Bruges won the original screenplay trophy.
