Antonio Banderas looks set to star in Simon Wests indie biopic Dali. Two other Salvador Dali biopics are already in the works.Al Pacino is attached to play the artist in Dali & I: The Surreal Story to be helmed by Andrew Niccol. The other biopic will have Twillight actor Robert Pattinson titled Little Ashes, this film explores the young life and loves of the painter.
West's film will deal with how Dali conquered America and the world with sex, sin and surrealism only to succumb later to worldwide scandal and misfortune.
Banderas will play Dali, the Spanish Catalonian surrealist painter.

Un Chien Andalou is a 1928 short surrealist film made in France by two Spanish auteurs: the Aragonian director Luis Buñuel and the Catalonian artist Salvador Dalí. It was Buñuel's first film and was initially released in 1929. It is one of the best-known surrealist films of the avant-garde movement of the 1920s.
