According to deadlinehollywooddaily.com Jon Favreau has been signed on to direct Iron Man 2 and he has been offered a "much richer" deal than he received on the first film. Well it seemed very foolish on Marvels part not to confirm him straight away as he done a bang up job on the first film which has to date made 564,015,096 dollars so only makes sense to get him back. Iron Man 2 is scheduled for an April 2010 release but not too sure if it will be changed as Robert Downey Jr. has alot on his plate and the main reason Marvel did not want Favreau to helm the squeal was due Favereau expressing his concern for an unrealistic release date.
