It's been a busy day for Sam Raimi letting interviewers know the status of projects (Spider-man 4). Shocktillyoudrop got to have a word with Sam Rami about the supposed Evil Dead remake. The director told the site there is still zero movement on the proposed Evil Dead remake that was first announced when Ghost House Pictures was formed, claiming he's just too busy focusing on other projects to mull over Ash's return to the screen.
"We still want to do it," he says. "We still think it's worth trying and I've still not done a single thing about it."
I hope that if there is any return of the Evil Dead it is not through a remake but a bonafide sequel anyone other than Bruce Campbell taking up the mantel of Ash is just wrong.
